Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Monday’s trading session in green territory on the back of local and non-Arab buying.
By 10:30 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 38.95 points, or 0.26%, to 15,084.51 points.
The EGX70 index added 0.23% to 856.67 points, while the EGX100 index inched up 0.09% to 2,036 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.27% to 2,690 points.
Trading volume stood at about 31.7 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 154.6 million through 3,700 transactions.
Arab were net sellers with EGP 6 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 5.8 million and EGP 191,600, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) levelled up 0.69% to EGP 75.61 at a turnover of EGP 5.6 million.
